║ GT-HELP ║ NODELIST.BBS - All the Nodes in the GT Network
╚═════════╩════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
The nodelist is a file which changes frequently - though in most cases
you will receive a replacement nodelist from your local network
co-ordinator rather than having to edit yourself.
┌───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ If you do need to edit the nodelist, do it carefully. In particular, │
│ note that some of the lines are longer than 80 characters. Do not │
│ edit the nodelist if your editor cannot preserve long lines. │
└───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
┌───────────────────────────┐
│ Standard nodelist entries │
└───────────────────────────┘
Standard entries cover nodes that are able to receive netmail during at
least the standard netmail period as defined for their own net :
┌───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Net and Node
│ ┌────────────────────────────────────────────────── Phone number
│ │ ┌────────────────────────────────────────── Max baud rate
│ │ │ ┌─────────────────────────────────── Location
│ │ │ │ ┌────────────────────────── Crashmail flag
│ │ │ │ │ ┌───────────────── Board's name
│ │ │ │ │ │ ┌─ Sysop's name
┌──┴──┐ ┌─────┴────┐ ┌┤ ┌────┴───── │┌───────┴──────── ┌─┴─────────────┐
050/003 44-814434601 24 London *GRAPEVINE UK ........ Harry Green
050/004 **TEMP_DOWN* 96 London *ORGANIC GARDEN ...... Bob Campion
050/005 44-1-2451512 12 London *CROWN GREEN ......... Jim Brookbank
050/006 44-532842213 24 Leeds DBASE USER GROUP .... Harry Watson
┌───────────────────────────┐
│ Unlisted nodelist entries │
└───────────────────────────┘
Unlisted entries cover nodes that often do not have a dedicated line :
069/900 **UNLISTED** 24 Galveston UTMB-MBIAN .......... John Perry (069/000)
Note in particular the (069/000) suffix which begins in column 80. This
indicates that any mail for 069/900 is to be consolidated to 069/000,
from where it will be periodically collected.
